What Your Puppy Will Learn in the Jumpstart Program
Jumpstart® Curriculum
“Play is the Work of Puppies”

Training and play are woven into each activity as puppies learn one-one-one and in small groups. We also supervise and moderate play to instill a sense of impulse control.
The Jumpstart Experience includes;
- Individualized training and socialization for your puppy,
- Saturday classes for you and your family (children are welcome),
- Videos of your puppy in training. These personalized videos are not only great keepsakes, they show you how to practice with your puppy at home.
Our Jumpstart Nursery is an optimal learning environment where puppies learn to;
- Race back when you call outdoors,
- Walk calmly on-leash,
- Go lay down on their bed,
- Stay till released,
- Greet other dogs politely,
- Sit to great people in Go Say Hi!, and
- Ring the potty bells to go outside.
Throughout the Program our team is also available daily to answer your questions, practice new skills, and solve challenges as they arise.

Our puppy training extends well beyond basic obedience. In our caring and supportive nursery, your puppy will learn a variety of specialized techniques and commands from a professional trainer with extensive experience. Some of the skills they’ll learn include the following:

Daylong Puppy Potty Training
Our training center will provide your pup with all the personalized care it needs to become properly potty-trained. In addition, we’ll teach them how to ring potty bells to improve their communication. Read our potty training guide for further information.
Laser Focus
We develop this vital skill in our puppies to prepare them for rapid, effortless learning. This ultra-focused state of mind translates to more attentive puppies with better impulse control, making it easier for them to follow your directions.
Proximity Imperative
Families who want their dogs to stay close on walks and away from others will benefit from proximity training. Our puppies learn how to stay close and come back quickly, anytime, anywhere.
Lightning-fast Recall
Wherever or whenever you call, your puppy will return at top speed. We train this critical skill daily in multiple outdoor locations so that your dog can return to your side at a moment’s notice.
Go to Bed and Lay Down
Energetic dogs may have a hard time settling down for the night unless they’re told to. With our professional puppy lay down training, we’ll ensure that your pup goes to sleep when you want them to.
Stay Till Released
Through puppy sit training, your dog will stay put on command whenever you need them to. This useful command is not just for tricks but can also be employed in emergency situations to ensure they don’t leave their current location.
Go Say Hi!®
Say goodbye to jumping, lunging, and barking when your puppy walks over and sits to greet new people. We’ll ensure that rather than loudly bark, aggressively sprint, or cause an accident, they’ll approach guests politely and with care.

Private Coaching Sessions for Children and Family Members
Jumpstart PLUS builds on the strong foundation of our core program with private sessions for all family members including children.
Why Teach Children How to Work With Puppies?
Teaching children how to interact with puppies creates safer, happier relationships for everyone. Puppies are learning for life, and calm, gentle handling helps them grow into confident, well-adjusted dogs. At the same time, children learn empathy, self-control, and how to respect boundaries.
Guided interactions reduce the risk of fear and biting, build trust, and help puppies develop better manners. Most importantly, they lay the foundation for a loving bond that can last a lifetime.

Each activity includes gentle, structured introductions designed to support your puppy’s confidence, adaptability, and social skills.
All Jumpstart PLUS sessions take place during our regular program hours, Monday–Thursday.
